Despite what was uncovered at the shrine of fire, Miri is confident that they are on the right path. They know what to expect now, and can prepare for it, or so they think.

Miri’s plans are ruined as they arrive in Esper and are forced apart. The Mad King’s machinations keep them on their toes while Amri discovers a terrible secret, Ezra finds an unlikely ally, Browen hides among the enemy, and Miri and Ralis are forced to face the challenges of the next shrine on their own. And on top of it all, the Queen will be visiting for the Mad King’s masquerade, forcing the heroes to operate in secret right under her nose.
